At Dunedin Youth Sailing Association (DYSA), we believe sailing is more than learning to steer a boat — it’s learning to trust yourself, your team, and the journey ahead.
Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and spirited environment where youth from Dunedin and the surrounding communities can:

Build lasting confidence and resilience
Learn the true meaning of teamwork and perseverance
Find a lifelong love for adventure and the outdoors
As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to making sailing accessible to all skill levels — from brand-new sailors taking their first steps onto a boat, to competitive racers chasing the thrill of the finish line.
Led by passionate, experienced coaches, our programs and race teams offer more than just lessons — they offer a place to belong, a challenge to rise to, and an adventure to call their own.
At DYSA, it’s not just about sailing.
It’s about helping young people chart their own course — on the water, and in life.
