DYSA is a proud non-profit organization, and volunteers are the heart and soul of everything we do.
From launching boats and helping at regattas to mentoring young sailors and supporting our coaches, every hand makes a difference.

Keeping programs affordable, offering quality coaching, maintaining safe equipment, and hosting incredible events — it’s all made possible because of our dedicated volunteers.

Ways You Can Volunteer

There’s a spot for every parent of a DYSA sailor and high student — whether you know how to sail or not!

🛟 Shore Support:
Assist with launching and retrieving boats, help sailors get rigged, and be a critical part of keeping operations smooth and safe.

🎟️ Event Help:
Volunteer during regattas and events — from registration tables to scorekeeping and food service.

🛠️ Maintenance Crew:
Help maintain our boats, trailers, and safety gear. Perfect for anyone handy with tools (or eager to learn)!

📸 Photography & Social Media:
Capture the magic on the water and help spread the word about DYSA.

🏆 Mentorship & Coaching Support:
Experienced sailors can help mentor younger sailors or assist certified coaches during lessons.

🌟 Fundraising and Outreach:
Help us connect with the community, organize fundraisers, or assist with grant writing.
